You can still download it but it is no longer supported and was superceeded by ArcGIS Explorer. Both read shapefiles I believe.       <title>ArcReader changed?</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I am a little bit confused because I am pretty sure that I have used ArcReader in the past to view shapefiles (esp. their attributes) without having a GIS installed.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Obviously the ArcReader I have installed on my PC can only use pmf-files. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Am I dreaming or has the software been changed?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Is there a free-shapefile-viewer (no wms) available on the internet?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
