We are experiencing an issue with ArcReader in so much as unless there is an instance of ArcMap running, we get an 'unknown error' when opening the .pmf.
The ArcMap instance just has to be running, even just a blank unsaved map, it doesent have to be the .mxd of the published map.

We are running the published .pmf over our 2X network and it has worked faultlessly for over 12 months without issue. We have performed testing by both publishing and packaging a local copy of the .mxd to rule out an issue with 2X but as before even with a local .pmf or local packaged .pmf, unless an instance of ArcMap is running we get the same unknown error.
We have also tested in the same way using different builds of ArcReader just to try and rule out a versioning issue but again we get the same unknown error response.

Has anyone else had this issue?

regards

Dean
Senergy Survey and GeoEngineering
