This came as a total surise to me this morning when users started saying that the ArcReader address locator tool was freezing and routing was doing the same thing a little research showed that it was being caused by ESRI taking down their web-services. One, a bit of warning and a pre-change fix would have been nice. Two, is a patch going to be released so that older versions of ArcReader stop looking for services no longer available it is really slowing things down especially the first time a user opens the now broken tools.

What version of ArcReader are you using? ArcReader 10 can be downloaded and works with 9.x PMF files. See http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/arcreader/download.html
