Mosaic dataset issue in ArcMap 10.5

Hi,

I have created a mosaic with lots of (around 1,000) aerial photos ranging from 0.1 - 0.4m in a published map (.pmf). I have an issue when I zoom into certain areas where the mosaic doesn't load and a checkerboard pattern appears. When I zoom out once over the same area, however, the mosaic does load.

I also have an issue with a separate mosaic where the image loads on some computers but at the same extent on another computer it does not. The two laptops are running ArcReader 10.5. The one that works is running Windows 7 with an i5 CPU, the one that doesn't work has Windows 8 and an i7 CPU.

Does anyone know what could be causing these issues or how to fix them? A lot of sites I have looked at for possible answers suggest that the mosaic hasn't been created properly, but I don't imagine this is the case since at some extents I am able to see the images correctly.

Try deleting and rebuilding your pyramids... use the default settings
