topic Export as something other than BMP? in ArcReader Questions

I need to be able to export my map from ArcReader as something better than a BMP. PNG or JPG is preferred. Does anyone know of some type of plug-in or extension that can make this possible? I found a program called Image Printer Pro that will but it is not free and we are ending our fiscal year so spending any money right now is next to impossible.

You could try searching for a PDF Printer. It won't give you a PNG or JPG, however.

If you have Adobe Reader pro/standard installed, you should be able take the .bmp file and convert to other format supported by Adobe application. If you have print function in your custom ArcReader you should be able to print to .pdf file directly since that comes with Adobe installation.

If you want to be even more creative you can add reference to the popular photo program that is used at work and export map using the program's object. That is more advanced programming.
