ArcPad 10 Label orientation/read angle

We are looking to move to ArcPad 10 from ArcPad 7 but in testing we noticed that the label on point features are being forced to a right side up reading angle. There are times that we want the words to be upside down. Is there a setting to turn off the label flipping? (In ArcPad7 the labels show up correctly for what we want but opening the exact same file in ArcPad 10 will automatically flip the "upside down" text.)

Hi Jessica,

The behavior you are experiencing is a result of ArcPad labels more closely reflecting the behavior of labels in ArcMap.

This was a deliberate action to ensure consistency in label behavior between ArcMap and ArcPad.

You can always export your labels to annotation for more advanced label placement in ArcMap and bring those annotations into ArcPad using the Graphics Layer.

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, I needed the labels to read the way they are placed in ArcPad. I guess we will have to find another way to input/place the phasing information in ArcPad.
