Hi Marcus,

I have not heard of anyone experiencing the problem that you seem to have, but there are a few things you can try if you are having trouble with ArcPad:

- Full uninstall/reinstall: I know it sounds drastic, but this way all of settings are reverted back to their defaults and your ArcPad.apx file (all of your configurations) is replaced with a clean, new version. This will let you know if it is any custom configurations that are causing your problem.

- Data: If your issue is occurring with your project data, try the same operations with the provided ArcPad Sample Data. If the Sample Data is working fine - this is a cue to look at your project data. You may even try checking out your data again to create a new project.

- ArcPad Studio: This is the place to open up both your data and configuration files to have a closer look at their insides. Again, use a clean ArcPad.apx or the ArcPad Sample Data to compare to your project to find anything that may be causing you problems.

- New version of ArcPad: There is a 20 minute trial version of the latest version of ArcPad on the ESRI website. Try using this version of ArcPad to replicate your problem. This will indicate a version-specific issue that may have already been fixed in a later version of ArcPad.

If you are currently on maintenance, please contact ESRI Support to see if they can help you.

🙂 Hannah
