I'm new to ArcPad and am having a problem with the coordinates that it is logging points on. I'm using ArcPad 10.2 on a Trimble Juno 3B to create a tree registry and I used the quick project to do this and set it to use the default projection of WGS 84 but the points are being saved with coordinates in ranges around -9778095, 5114928 decimal degrees. Is there a way to fix this so it saves the points with the correct coordinates? I've tried endless searching but have been unable to find a fix.

A guess on my part, because I haven't been involved with ArcPad for a while. The coordinates look like Web Mercator (EPSG:3857). Is there a base map? that's likely in 3857, and the data points may be getting projected to that coordinate system. I don't know how to change it.
