This may seem silly but here goes;

I created a basic Date field in ArcPad 10 with a range of valid dates (1/1/2011-12/31/2011) and set it at 'not" read-only (mistake? maybe). I go into ArcPad 10, click on one point, and somehow, even though its not totally in the right format, it came damn close to what I really want in ONE FIELD:

1899-12-30 00:00:00

There was a domain drop down underneath it and it was blank, and I clicked on another point that somehow I'd created but it had the same thing going on. I looked at the Corntrol properties for the point and it did refer to a domTimenDate field but what do I do now?

Can I fix this format so that it is updated every day every second? This is just like in MS Excel where you get YYYY/MM/DD HH/MM/SS as an option for fields but why can't I do it here?

Yes I admit there's a domain involved but at least its giving me the right format.

PLEASE give me a step by step.
