I collected GPS data in the field for 3 feature classes. Using ???Check in ArcPad AXF file and GPS correct SSF??? I was able to check-in and post-process two of the feature classes without a problem, but the third, ???borehole_point??? (collected on a different day from the other feature classes) will not import correctly. I was able to see a completed attribute table for it, but it wasn???t plotting anywhere on the map. When I zoomed to layer, it took me to 0,0 (AK state plane). There didn???t seem to be any positions for it.

I tried importing just the "borehole_point" feature class again with a clean backed up copy of the original .mxd and .axf files checking in JUST the ???borehole_point??? feature class, and got the following message:

Executing: CheckinAXFFileAndGPScorrectSSF "S:\Anchorage\Projects\00_GIS_Data\2011\LubePits\Lube Pits Soil Sampling July 2011\Kodiak_BBLP_071511\BBLP_Soil_07_19_11_Checkout\Buskin_Lube_Pits_FIELD_mdb.axf" # borehole_point
Start Time: Fri Jul 22 14:20:12 2011
Importing GPS positions from SSF file: S:\Anchorage\Projects\00_GIS_Data\2011\LubePits\Lube Pits Soil Sampling July 2011\Kodiak_BBLP_071511\BBLP_Soil_07_19_11_Checkout\GPScorrect.ssf
Imported 16284 GPS positions.
Matching feature geometries and GPS positions...
Found matching SSF positions for 0 of 44 feature coordinates
Succeeded at Fri Jul 22 14:49:02 2011 (Elapsed Time: 28 minutes 50 seconds)

When I look in the GPS, I can see the points I collected for ???borehole_point???, and can see that they have spatial coordinates when I get info about them. Also, for reference I???m using:

ArcPAD 8 on a Trimble GeoXH 2005

GPS Correct 3.15
GPS Analyst 2.3
ArcGIS 10 service pack 2

Any information or hints would be very helpful, it took a long time to collect this data and I'm just stumped as to why it's not importing correctly!
Thanks!
Kristin

I found a possible partial solution to my problem in a response to another post, and tried opening the .axf in ArcPad. I was able to export to a shapefile and then a feature class, and can see all my points. The problem is that I don't know the accuracy and cannot post-process the data. It seems to me that this rules out a problem with the actual data, and narrows it down to a problem with this specific feature class. When I GPS-enabled my geodatabase, I had to GPS-enable this feature class separately. This has happened to me a few times using SDSFIE-feature classes, and might be part of the issue?

Maybe this can shed some light on my problem to those of you who aren't so new to GIS?!

Thanks!
