Hi all,
I am trying to do a quick deployment w/ ArcPad 7.1.1 because I already have the same deployed on a Win CE device and would like to hold off on creating a new solution until later. The issue I am having is that when I browse to find an existing map I cannot get to the folder where the .apm is stored. I can get to a folder called ArcPad Data that I created on the SD-MMC card, but not to any folder beyond that. There in lies the rub: I have code that creates that folder and users with limited knowledge of how to use computers. Why can't I get beyond that folder? It works on the CE device.
Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick,

I'm not sure I fully understand this but have you tried modifying the data path in ArcPad on the Juno device? In ArcPad, select Options dropdown and select Options to display ArcPad Options dialog. Click on Paths tab, modify the Default Maps & Data Path to include location of folders containing your ArcPad maps and data. For more information, please review associated Help topic, http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcpad/10.0/help/index.html#/Paths/00s10000003q000000/.

Cheers,
Denise

Denise,
Thanks for your reply. I have tried to modifying the data path in ArcPad on the Juno device. The problem I am running into is that I have customization in ArcMap that creates a folder that is named based on the feature (neighborhood) and the date. Each .apm file is going to be located in a uniquely named folder. In Windows CE you had the ability to browse to a folder just like you would in a Windows Desktop environment. I can't have the users move the data into a folder that ArcPad can see because they might checkout multiple neighborhoods at one time.

Thanks,
Nick
