When using the cut applet, provided in the developers samples ArcPad 10 R3 (build 33) on a windows 7 platform ArcPad suddenly stops. Applet asks if the feaatures should be added, then performs the action which resultst in attached screenshot. Starting ArcPad again and adding the feature, result is that the cut action had performed well. Any ideas, hints are welcome.

Regards,

Harald

Hi Harald,

I tried using the Cut Applet in both ArcPad 10.0.3 and ArcPad 10.0.4 without any issues - but I was using a line layer to cut a polygon layer...

Your screenshots indicate that you are using the same layer for the cut line and the cut feature. When I tried this, I received an error message saying that ArcPad was unable to add the feature 😞

Is it be possible for you to use 2 different layers (one for the cut line, one for the cut feature) for your project?

Hope this helps,

Hannah

Hi Hannah,

That did the trick, it works fine, so now i have to "re-write" the code in order to make it functional for my project. The basic idea was to cut the feature and then remove to object which has been used as "cut feature".. And stupif enough i used in the same layer (to draw the line for cutting) as were the "features to cut are". Great, thank for the help.

Regards,

Harald
