    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I am new to using ArcPad 10.0.&amp;nbsp; I am using ArcPad with a Trimble Recon unit.&amp;nbsp; I had everything set up and working first with a serial cable and then with blue tooth.&amp;nbsp; When I tried to convert back to the serial cable, I must have made an error.&amp;nbsp; Now I get the error "No data is being received from your GPS unit.&amp;nbsp; Check cable and configuration options.&amp;nbsp; I have tried getting ArcPad to work via bluetooth and the serial cables.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Your help will be very much appreciated. My husband and I are just starting this job-mapping rare and sensitive plants.&amp;nbsp; They are around for a very short period of time-some only identifiable for days.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thank you!&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Listed below are my current configurations.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Start--&amp;gt;Settings--&amp;gt;Connections--&amp;gt;Connections--&amp;gt;Bluetooth&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Turn on Bluetooth checked&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Make the devise discoverable checked&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Devices&amp;nbsp; ProXT has a ? next to it&amp;nbsp; Serial port checked -- have also tried with Serial port unchecked&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;COM ports&amp;nbsp; ProXT (COM9) Incoming port (COM8)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;GPS Controller Settings&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; (note - I get GPS reading with GPS controller)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Setup--&amp;gt;GPS Settings&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;GPS Receiver Port COM1 Serial Cable&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Velocity filter Off&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Receiver Power Output Auto&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;NMEA Output Off&amp;nbsp; (have also tried on&amp;nbsp; when on settings were output interval 1s, Receiver Port Primary Port1, Secondary Bluetooth1 baud rate 4800 data bits 8 stop bit 1 parity non GGA checked VTG checked others unchecked)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Setup--Real time settings--&amp;gt; Choice 1 Use Uncorrected GPS&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;ArcPad settings&amp;nbsp; (note when ArcPad is up, I get GPS readings in the status bar(system tray?) at the bottom but do not get a skyplot with data within ArcPad)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;GPS Preferences&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;GPS tab&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Protocol NMEA 0183&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Port COM1 Serial Cable on COM1&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Baud 4800&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Automatically activate unchecked&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Show GPS Activity is System Tray checked&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Automatically pan view checked&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Log checked&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Capture tab&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Enable Averaging off&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Streaming &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; Position interval 1&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Distance interval 32.8 feet US&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Quality Tab &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Non compulsory warnings nothing else checked&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Alerts tab all checked&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Other notes&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Activesync is on the trimble.&amp;nbsp; It is running in the background.&amp;nbsp; Does it need to be there when using Windows Mobile Device Center to communicate with the PC.&amp;nbsp; If not, how can I remove it.&amp;nbsp; Should I see a Windows Mobile Device program showing on the trimble.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I was able to solve my connection problem by changing the protocol from nmea to trimble gps correct.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
