Hi Tim,

Can you reproduce the behavior when exporting from Riverside (ArcMap 10).mxd (ArcPad > Samples)? My attempt to create ZIP and CAB during export process works as expected. Did you upgrade to ArcGIS 10 and ArcPad 10 from previous version or is this a clean install? If you are current on ArcPad maintenance, I recommend you log a support request with Esri Support so you can work with an ArcPad specialist to help resolve this challenge.

Cheers,
Denise

create CAB file bombs ArcGIS10

This should be easy...

I have a new high-spec PC on which I have ArcGIS 10 and now installed ArcPad 10 and MSXML 4.0sp3. I have an Ashtech MM100 mobile device connected. When using the ArcPad Data Manager, creating CAB/AXF/ZIP data either (a) bombs ArcGIS, or (b) hangs ArcGIS and no data results.

I have successfully created the CAB and associated data on another machine, and curiously when transferred to my new PC, the .CAB file type is unrecognised..???? Am sure this is a part of the issue but stuffed if I know where.

Really very annoying...help muchly appreciated.
