I have a a field with a domain and a combobox for selecting the value. When the down arrow is selected on the combobox, it expands, and a particular value is highlighted. Regardless of whether sorting is turned on or off in the editform XML, the initial highlight is on the last value in the coded domain. The user expects this to be the first value in the list of items, regardless of sort order. This appears to be the default, as it is the behavior I observe for a number of other fields on my form. For 5 of the fields, however, the default initial highlighting is on the last field in the domain, rather than the first field in the combobox. I can't see anything that is different in the data type, coded value domains, editform XML, or anything else that would make these 5 fields different. Has anyone ever seen this behavior or have any clues on how to force it to behave properly?

Problem solved, there was a default value assigned in the data model. When removed it is working as expected.
