Can't check out personal geodatabase data to ArcPad - getting shapefile only

Hi,

I can't check out personal my geodatabase data to ArcPad, the only option I get is to export as background as shapefile. Problem is on and off. I wonder what causes this. I really need to export as a geodatabase since I have domains and relations.

I have had this issue. I had layers in my map from a Geodatabase that would only check out as shapefiles. Found out that the layers in question did not match the coordinate system of the map mxd. Make sure all the layers you are checking out are all in the same coordinate system.
That was my issue and once I changed them, it worked.
