???Pan??? tool in the ArcPad,

???Pan??? tool in the ArcPad,

I???m wondering why the ???pan??? tool is required to be selected from the ???browse tools??? to keep working multiple times. If it is selected form the one available on the desktop of the ArcPad, then it works only one time na dneeds to be clicked again for the next pan.

Could this behavior be switched such that the ???pan??? on the desktop of the ArcPad can work multiple times when selected?

Hi Jamal,

The tools you are refering to are called the Navigator Toolbar tools and they are present in ArcPad on the map instead of on a toolbar. They are designed as a set of use-once tools that can be used for quick navigation (zoom in, zoom out, pan, full extent) when using other data editing tools.

The Navigator Toolbar can be customized to make the tool selections permanant - but then you have lost the ability to use the navigation tools while editing.

I�??m coming from the school of ArcMap and sounds that it is not easy to live with the limitations/behavior of the ArcPad. Hope i can get used to soon.
