Hello,

You will need to copy your QuickFields Expressions across to your Windows Mobile Device to use QuickFields.

Every QuickFields expression is stored in a file called ArcPadExpressions.apx. TheArcPadExpressions.apx file must always accompany the ArcPadPrefs.apx file. By default, both of these files are located in the My Document\My ArcPad folder. If you place your ArcPadPrefs.apx file somewhere other than the default location (for example, in a project folder along with an app shortcut), ensure that you place the ArcPadExpressions.apx file in the same location.

You can copy an ArcPadExpressions.apx file created in Windows to your device to use Quick Fields on Windows Mobile. Copy it to the same location as your ArcPadPrefs.apx file.

Hope this helps 🙂

Hannah

Original User: newground

Hi,

I'm having problems with the new quickfields feature in arcpad 10.2. I have set up the quickfields and they work fine on the desktop arcpad but they don't work when I transfer the map to the GPS device - the fields remain blank when I capture a point...

I have installed 10.2 on the device and I get the message that quickfields are enabled when the map opens.

Could it be in they way I transfer the map to the device? At present I am copying and pasting the folder which contains all my map, layers, tables ect using windows explorer. Have I left something behind?

thankyou, any help would be great.
