ArcPad Design Mode Not Accessible

I can't get the Design Mode in ArcPad 10.02 to appear in the Quick Start Menu after upgrade from 10 to 10.02. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, manual uninstall and reinstall, lastly I have deleted the .apx file.

Any suggestions would be great and thanks in advance to the community!!

Hi,

Please confirm you are running ArcPad 10.0 R2 (Build 30) by viewing the Help > About ArcPad dialog. What is your operating system? Note that Design Mode is only available in ArcPad for Windows and is not available in ArcPad for Windows Mobile.

Yes, I am running ArcPad 10.0 R2 I confirmed it. And I am Running it on Windows 7. I know design mode is only available on the Desktop version.

Hi,

The instructions to enable the QuickAction menu to Design Mode doesn't work when following instructions here,
http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcpad/10.0/help/index.html#/Working_in_Design_Mode/00s10000012z000000/ ? Are you the same user login that installed and registered the software? I'm not sure what else it could be and suggest contacting Esri Support so you can continue troubleshooting this behavior with ArcPad specialist.

I was struggling with this too, but I was looking in the wrong place! How embarrassing!
Design mode can be found under the "Quick Access" dropdown on the right side of the toolbar. I had been looking for it in the "Quick Action" button....the big blue one on the left. I have attached a .jpg that diagrams the toolbars.

Hopefully your fix is as easy as mine.

Just curious if you were ever able to get Design Mode to activate - I am encountering the same problem you had and am stuck.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
