It'll zoom to the last GPS location it had a fix at, so if that was far away from your basemap area it might just be really far off screen. If your basemap covers the area you're testing at, it might be a memory issue.</SPAN><BR /><BR /><SPAN>If I use a large (10mb+) raster image, it will act strange, and disappear while the layer is checked on, etc. You might try checking the amount of available memory before and after turning GPS on and see if it looks like you're running out. I can see my base map until I activate my GPS and then the basemap dissapears. I checked all my projections and all shapefiles and map properties are projected the same.
