topic North-Reference Settings saved permanentely in ArcPad Questions

To my understanding and from my field experience, the north-reference settings for offsetting should be stored permanentely with a map as they are supposed to remain the same over a longer period of time.

Right now, they are retained only within a mapping session, but get lost as soon as the map is closed and opend again. This can (and actually DID in my team repeatedly) cause serious troubles when a user forgets to enter the regional north-reference before the first offsetting operation and starts mapping straight away.

Any thoughts on that from the developers?

Kind regards

Max Ringler
University of Vienna, Austria
