      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Luc,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I believe you will need to recompile your SOE against the older assemblies in order to deploy on the server running 10.1.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You might have gotten away with your deployment if the situation were reversed (10.1 SOE on 10.2 ArcGIS Server).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Erin,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your reply&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Compilation against the older libraries was indeed necessary. Luckily we had a setup with ArcGIS Server 10.1 and VS 2010 somewhere so we could do the compilation.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I wonder if you really need VS2010 to do the recompilation - maybe VS2012 will also do the job, haven't tried it out. In each case a new SOE project can only be done in VS2010.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Supporting different versions of ArcGIS Server turns out not to be that simple.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I think the same goes for a SOE to be installed on 10.2, such a SOE should be compiled against 10.2 libraries. Haven't tried it out though.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
