I am writing an Arc Objects 10 MapControl application using VC2010 and C# under Windows 7 64 bit OS. My development platform is set for x86. Running the program straight out of the App Create Wizard and compile, everything is fine. The skeleton application comes up w/ the option to load a MXD file, load data, and other menu/toolbar options.

When I load a MXD file, the cursor spins a little and then an error pops up that says:

"Print driver host for 32bit application has stopped working."

and I have options to "check online for a solution and close the program", "close the program", or "debug the program". Viewing details about the problem shows APPCRASH for splwow64.exe in the hpzuiwn7.dll module.

If I just load data (e.g. just a shapefile), it loads w/o any error notification.

Has anyone else seen this and resolved it?

Thanks
Mark
