Dear vba programmers

I use one feature layer with some unique symbologies, I'm going to show them in layout view. Actually I'm writing code to create layout automatically by choosing one feature. What I want to do is, I want the legend show only the symbol (color) that I choose. Could you please tell me how to do that? Thank you so much for helping.
