ArcGIS Engine Dev Kit 64-bit ?????

Hi everyone,
Do any of you know if there is a 64-bit version of the Dev Kit available in the latest release 10.2.1?
I have an Engine app that utilizes SQL's RMO (replication) api and am running into x86/x64 problems.
So trying to get the whole application running on x64 won't work for me since the Engine Dev Kit installed on my Win 8.1 workstation is only 32-bit.
Any help would be appreciated.

ArcGIS engine is 32 bit only.

It says 10.1 but the article is referenced in 10.2 documentation also

Does anyone know why ArcGIS Engine is not supported natively on 64bit (compiled to 64bit)? Is it the third party libraries that aren't available as 64bit? Is it the underlying COM technology?

The current version of ArcGIS Server is x64 only so, IMHO, this is not a technical issue.

I think that this is a business issue. ArcGIS Engine is an end of life product which is replaced by the ArcGIS Runtime.
