Hi,

I'm projecting points, polylines and polygons from "Quebec Lambert" to "GCS_North_American_1983" with Project function using envelope (ESRI.ArcGIS.Geometry.IGeometry.Project).
Points are centroid of the shared surface.
When I compare the points after the projection, these are not centroid anymore??? We expect that the projection of points does not work correctly!!

Thanks for the answer!
Mathieu Fortie

Original User: mathieu_fortier

If you want to have the centroid of 2 polygons in an other projection, you have to calculate the centroid with the projected geometries. When you reproject points, they gonna stay at the same place. This is not the fact with polylines and polygons because, depends on the new projection, the geometries will move and the surface will change also.

Mathieu Fortier
