ArcGIS 10 Importing Raster Data to File GDB

Hi,

I've generated a compact cache using the MapCruncher sample and I wanted to import this data as raster data into a file GDB so that I can point a layer of my MXD to it. ArcCatalog seems to allow me to import the data as raster, but I'm not sure it's working correctly. It starts processing for a long time (even a very small cache 1MB) and once it finishes and I click on it, it is empty. I do have SP1.

Anyone has any insight into this?

I have a 9.3 floating point elevation GRID that I am trying to bring into 10. I created a FGDB in 10. I tried R-Clicking the GDB and Import the GRID as well as R-clicking the GRID and exporting to the GDB. Both proccesses failed. Each time they produced a table in the GDB with fields OID, Raster, Footprint, Footprint_Length, and Footprint_area. Import produced a raster that cannot be opened or its properties viewed. Export produced a table, but no Raster. We are using a remote server for the software. (9.x was on the locally installed).
