topic Failure To Find License When Application Installed On Different Drive in ArcObjects SDK Questions

I have an application developed with ArcObjects 10. My code where I bind to the Engine (or Desktop) works properly. The license initializer code that follows works as it should. The application is used without problem on numerous installations and works when ArcGis Engine or ArcView is installed.

However, I have one client that has installed the application on a separate physical drive from the installation of ArcView. The application is trapping an error 19 ("You must have a license to use this Active X control") when the main form is loaded. The main form has a map control on it.

Is this behavior expected?

Regards,
Rudy Lambert
