Whenever I open ArcMap it opens fine. But once I try to then open a project, whether local or on a server, the memory begins to cycle between ~20 - ~60 gb RAM. The programs hangs and I get the endless spinning circle mouse icon. This doesn't happen with other programs on this laptop. If I try to restart the laptop via the windows start menu, it will endlessly give the "restarting" circle icon and I have to give it a hard restart. I have dealt with IT and with ESRI support and have not found a solution. So who knows, I figured I could try here.
