https://community.esri.com/t5/arcmap-questions/british-national-grid-coordinates-locating/m-p/1318365#M4529 <P>Hi all,</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>I have a series of 10 figure grid references taken on a GPS in British National Grid (attached), however when I import them to a map set to BNG they are off of the UK Coast so clearly in the wrong place. They seem to be interpreted by arc as metres, as if i set location units to meters then they are correct (e.g. grid reference 50605, 14307 is located at 50605 metres East 14307 metres North). I am sure I am doing something wrong here, but have been unable to figure out what. I had assumed that british national grid projections would use british national grid grid references as coordinates, however this appears incorrect?
