topic How to address why single points are included in Hot Spots in ArcMap Questions

Hi everyone. I am trying to identify if and why there would be single points included in the hot spots of a hot spot analysis. I have attached two images with the spatial distribution and with the hot spots. I used Integrate and Collect Events, Calculated Distance Band from Neighbor Count (Specified 1 neighbor), then used Optimised Hotspot Analysis with the maximum value for distance band. I also used the ICOUNT for the analysis field. Would there be any reason for any single points to have been included in the hot spots. Honestly, I am suspecting that the number of neighbors should be 2, rather than 1.

I have also done this for the regular Hotspot Analysis and yielded the same results.

I also had tried the same thing in ArcGIS Pro and yielded the same results.

Any assistance or advice is appreciated.

I had 249 input points. I used integrate and collect events for aggregation. There were only 24 hot spots found.

Correction: 245 input points.
