Hello, i need help with a few steps in a project, help would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

Background: a company is choosing a suitable site for a new irrigation channel.

1. I must map the soil type and land use within 250m of the proposed irrigation channel

2. I also must find the total area of this land use type (LUCODE 400) within 250m of the irrigation channel.

3. lastly i need to know the area for the soil suitability types 1, 2 and 3.

I have all the required data for this project but i am stumped on how to work out which tools i need to use to produce a map that shows the suitable site for the new irrigation channel.

I have started it but it does not look correct to me. ill try adding the photos below.

Buffer your channel line fc
Summarize Within
- Input Polygons: the buffered channel
- Summary Features: the Soil Type fc, the Land Use fc
- Group Field: fields that specify soil type and land use
