Selecting Style from the Item Menu under Legend Properties Causes ArcMap to Crash

I was working on a bivariate symbology and working to re-organize my legend rather than doing it manually. In doing so, I took the following steps:

1. Right-Click on the legend and Select Properties

2. Select the Items tab from the list of available tabs

3. Select the Style button on the lower left of this dialog

At this point Arcmap 10.7.1 crashes. I have restarted, reworked my data, done everything I can think of at the moment. Is this a known issue with 10.7.1 or something unique to my installation? I can always take the time to re-install, but was trying not to if at all possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi John,

¿Did you re-install the software without unregistrering bivariate assembly? I've had this issue; you must run this command:

ESRIRegAsm.exe /u BIVARIATE_DLL_PATH /p:desktop.

Unfortunately, this assembly it's unstable on desktop 10X.

Restart ArcMap and test again. I'm pretty sure about it, the problem will be solved.
