Error 000042: Failed to create address locator

Hello, I keep on getting the same error message when creating an Address Locator in ArcMap 10.4. Can anyone help? I have already gone through the list below and cannot see what I am doing wrong.

"000042 : Failed to create the address locator. ArcGIS 10.4

The address locator cannot be created.

Solution

Check that you have the following:

Permission to write to the disk or database
Enough disk space for the address locator you are trying to create
Valid network or database connection
Valid geocoding rule files
Valid address locator style"

Do a quick google search on " esri error 000042" you'll get several returns worth looking into.

This is the message I keep getting. I have not found anything helpful online.

That's not giving you much to work with and I don't use the old style locators anymore. You may need to contact tech support and provide them some sample data with which to emulate your workflow.

Can you provide a sample of what you address locator source data looks like - maybe 10 records?
