Go to XY Tool not working

Hello,

I am trying to use the "Go To XY" tool to find locations within a large satellite image by adding a labelled point to the map. This tool was working well but has recently stopped working. I have restarted my computer and reinstalled ArcMap but it still will not work.

When I first open ArcMap, and before opening any layers, if I use the Go To XY tool in the "meters" then I can use all of the Go To XY functions. However, when I try to use the tool with decimal degrees the tool stops working. Also when I have the map layers open, the Go To XY tool still does not work, even when set to "meters".

May I suggest Resetting your ArcGIS Application Profile?

Note that it would reset your folder/database/server connections in Catalog Window, if any.

arcmap version?

It may be a new bug or an old bug depending on version.

Thank you for the suggestion,

I have tried renaming the template files and completed a full Application Profile Reset, however neither of these have worked.

There are bugs on tech support for a variety of versions, too many to post, but

You can look for others, just sort by date

Try to use the tools on Data view not on Layout view...
