topic Isolating Intersections in ArcMap Questions

Hello,

I have a shape file of points and I am trying to think of an efficient way to isolate the points that are surround intersections. I am going to use a base map as reference, but I thought there is a way to turn the base map into a layer so I could create a buffer? Is there a more efficient way I haven't thought of? Thanks!
