    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; font-size: 15px;"&gt;Hello,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; font-size: 15px;"&gt;I am using ArcMap to publish services online so that they can be used by the JavaScript API.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; font-size: 15px;"&gt;It&amp;nbsp;appears as if parameters of a map service are stored in an MXD the first time you publish the service and that, if you subsequently make changes to a map service, you cannot publish the mxd again since those changes are not incorporated into the MXD and the service fails to publish.&amp;nbsp; So, is there a way of updating the service parameters once you have published the service?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; font-size: 15px;"&gt;Right now I am having to create completely new maps to be able to publish.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; font-size: 15px;"&gt;Thanks!&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
