topic prefix in the version name in ArcGIS Workflow Manager Questions

Hello,
We have been working with JTX 9.3.1 for a few months and we are quite satisfied, although we have a problem that we would like to solve.
The User Connection Properties are based on: "Each JTX user will connect with their own database login" and that works fine.
In the workflow the editor runs the "Create Version" step (see the attached file- for example yovav.job_5203) and then the editor opens ArcMap directly with his version. When the Team Leader wants to post from his computer which has a different login, we have a problem. He cannot succeed because of the prefix on the version name (yovav.job_5203),
Is there a way to ignore the prefix in the version name?

Hadas

Hi Hadas,

Do you have JTX 931 SP2 installed? This issue was addressed at that service pack. The main problem here is that we are not searching the fully-qualified version name. Because of that, it will be looking for the wrong version name based on the current user's credentials.
Please download and install the SP 2 and this issue should be resolved.

Thanks,
Tope

Hi Tope,
Thank you for the answer, SP2 does fix the problem which we described, but I think it creates a new problem: when we open ArcMap for editing (start edit) we received an error message (the attached file). What does the message mean?

Thanks,
Hadas

That error message seems to be coming from a custom extension that is dependent on our extension. Can you confirm that you have a custom extension? If so, have you recompiled this with the SP 2 version of JTX? Verify that your solution in Visual studio does not have it's version specific flag set to true.
Also, double check that you do not have an older version of your extension still hanging around in the GAC.

Let me know if this helps.

Tope
