Initializing Task Assistant (10.0 sp1)

Initialization of task assistant makes startup of ArcMap slow for those users not using this component. Is it possible to disable this initialization for specific (groups of) users?

Hi,

Yes, you can disable the initialization of task assistant by using the Task Assistant Configuration Manager.
Go to Start Menu > Programs > Task Assistant Manager > Configuration Manager
You can disable initializing Task Assistant Dialog on Start Up.

I looked the option spelled out by Tope, but what concerns me is that we have uninstalled this tool (Data Reviewer and Workflow Manager) so why does this tool still show up on our ArcGIS Desktop install. How to we get rid of it?

Hi ,

There is an item added to your list of programs and you can remove it through the Add/Remove programs on your computer.
It will show up as it's own program - Task Assistant Manager under the list of programs.
