Congratulations ESRI!

ArcGIS Web Editor is the First Online App I've Outright Banned for my Organization!

I decided to look through some of the new-ish Web Apps that I'd not been able to play with yet and eventually opened to the Web Editor.

Running Internal Commentary:

This is pretty cool. Fairly intuitive interface. Select and Deselect buttons are clear.
Being able to add items like this is nice.
Oooo! Snapping ability is just what we needed!
How does this get presented? It's its own app and can't be stuck in another?
Are the Setting available to all users?
I'll turn off the 'Delete' setting. I think that's what that means...?
The little Trashcan icon is still present though...
Select a record and can I still use the Trashcan icon?

No questions/ 'Are You Sure You Want To Delete This?'/ No Confirmation to Save Edits/ Just Gone

Okay, I could append the record from my backups, but this Tool could be used by Anyone in my Organization???!!!!!
Nope. That is NOT a Viable Option.

Hit up the Web Editor Ideas Page and add this as an idea, this seems like the sort of feature that the Web Editor team can easily add to the app.

hello @ODWC_GIS thanks for the feedback on Web Editor.

We do have guards in place in the Web Editor to prompt users to confirm they would like to proceed with deleting features; here's a screenshot:

We do include a checkbox option to "Do not show this warning again" for users who find the prompt obtrusive.

The option in the Setting panels to "Show delete features prompt" allows you to override the checkbox and bring the prompt back (without having to dig into the browser storage, which is where we store whether the user has used the checkbox in the prompt)

It sounds like you have users in your organization who should always be shows the prompt and always asked to confirm deleting features before deleting them. Do I have that right?

As @DavidSolari mentions above we can change this behavior, but would need to know what you would like use to change it to. Do you have ideas or suggestions on how we can change this so you feel comfortable making Web Editor available within your organization?
