Query Widget Results not showing in Attribute Table

When I use the query widget, the results used to, but no longer, show in the attribute table. I can’t seem to find a setting that enables/disables this feature. I’ve got 2 almost identical apps that use the Query widget and one of them works fine but the other doesn’t.

Does anybody know the secret to getting the search results to show in the attribute table automatically (I know I can click "View in Attribute table" from the 3 dots - and this works) ? The properties for each widget in each app appear to be exactly the same and they are querying the same feature layer.
