ArcGIS Web AppBuilder Near Me widget - buffer option missing

When creating a web app in Web AppBuilder, I have set up the Near Me widget and enabled settings for a Buffer Distance Slider to be associated to the location search, but during the location search, no buffer options come up (see screenshot below). What am I missing? I have followed the documentation.

@DataOfficer I see nobody replied to this. Given the post is almost 3 years old now, were you ever able to resolve it? I am now having the same issue and a Google search brought me to your submittal. Thanks.
