Web Appbuilder fails to restart as a windows service

Hi,

For a production app, my org. has successfully been using a 2.8 arcgis web appbuilder running as a windows service. ArcGIS Platform:Enterprise 10.6 Windows server: Standard 2016

Recently we have encountered the following symptoms:

1. The windows service appears as status "paused".

2. Cannot restart the the windows service. I get the following error: "Windows could not start the ...service on local computer. The service did not return an error..." - screenshot attached.

3. When checking the server's event viewer, I see there's a constant recurring error witht the web appbuilder - "Service... ran for less than 1500 milliseconds, restart will be delayed.... "- screenshot attached - basically notifying the same: The service cannot be restarted.

I've tried:

1. Removing and then adding the service again following online documentation.

2. Rebooting the machine.

The apps still work - but I actually need to restart the service every ~2 weeks since otherwise we experience significant performance issues.

Any help would be appreciated
