topic Customise splash widget to act as an intro/tutorial to the app in ArcGIS Web AppBuilder Questions

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere folks and I'm just using the wrong widget/ terminology.

I've created a webapp that will be used both by power users as well as members of the public.

Essentially what I want is for the splash screen to serve as an introduction/ tutorial on how to use the app for members of the public who are unfamiliar with GIS stuff. (I.e. a step by step guide through each of the widgets that are in the app as well as how to use them. I'm envisioning a sequential tutorial wherein the screen is greyed out except for the widget that is being explained.)

This splash screen would show up each time the app is accessed from a new device/ IP address and will be able to be turned off once a user has seen it.

Is this possible from the splash widget, or is there another widget I should be looking at? Alternatively, should I be attempting to build the app in experience builder rather than the app builder?

Cheers folks!
