Working with Larry's Custom Widget, Acme, and receiving 'hcSetting not defined'

I'm receiving the error 'fail to startup widget Acme. ReferenceError: hcSettings is not defined' when using one of LarrysCustomWidgets (Larrys Custom WAB Widgets and More & /blogs/myAlaskaGIS/2016/03/09/web-appbuilder-developer-edition-customization-resource-list ).

I dropped the Acme widget into the client\stemapp\widgets folder and then add it to the client\stemapp\predefined-apps\default\config.json file.

I see the widget in WAB Dev, but it, evidently, is not firing properly. Has anyone seen this before?
