Builder access http error 404

I successfully installed the application but when I try to browse to the builder site I get a 404 error. All of the permissions seem to be in order so I don't think it is related to permissions. We are running Windows Server 2003 64 bit.

The ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight is supported on Windows Server 2003 R2 - is that what you have? We do have 2003 r2 and have met all of the other requirements. Could it be we are using the 32 bit ASP .NET web services extension? Its isn't specified in the system requirements.

Hi Sean:

Do you still get a 404 if you include "/Default.aspx" at the end of the URL? E.g. http://localhost/Builder/Default.aspx.

I am getting the same error after installing The ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight 1.0.1 on Windows Server 2003 R2. Worked fine with 1.0. Did anyonefigure out a solution?

I'm not sure if it is relavent but I had the same issue. I have a Win 2003 R2 server. Our IIS is running in 32 bit mode so I removed the wildcard application maps for C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_isapi.dll from the builder application configuration. After that, the builder started up without getting the 404.

Open IIS Manager

Right click on the Builder virtual directory and chose properties

On the virtual directory tab, click on the Configuration button

On the mappings tab, select "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_isapi.dll" from the Wildcard application maps, then click remove.

Click Ok to close the window and then Ok to close the virtual directory window.
