silverlight viewer without basemap

Dear all
I'm started using silverlight recently, what I need is to add map service from my server only with the local coordinate , I don't need
any base map , I try to remove the base map but remove icon is inactive, see the attached picture, any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

you have to do it in the settings(upper right corner in the screen). there you have the option.

thanks for reply I try to remove it from setting it is only removed from base map list not from the viewer it self so I still have the same problem.

Hi,

You are right, it does not work, what i did was to take away that option, so the basemap is on the application and can not be changed.

Howdy,

Unfortunately, this is a known software issue (NIM079517) in the Application Builder.

One option is to modify the settings in the "Map.xml" file in the Config folder of your application. You can edit the basemap and initial extent here.

Another potential workaround is to publish your own blank map and add that as a new basemap to the Application Builder. To do this, you can add a shapefile and choose "None" for Fill and Outline options, then publish it with caching enabled.

first of all thanks for your help, I try the second solution , I'm already gave a published cashed map but how can I add it as a base
map.

5) Go back to the main page by clicking the blue arrow in the upper right

6) Go to Configure >> Basemap >> and select your new basemap

I do the same step , when I try to add my own base map a messege said ok appears but nothing added to the viewer . see attached file.

What version of Silverlight are you using? I would recommend re-installing the Application Builder, possibly the newest available version, and trying again.
