Error Code received outside our intranet system

Hi All,

I received an email notifying me that people who are external to our internet system are receiving the following error when trying to access our flex map. With-in our system we are able to load and view the map with no issues. Any ideas? the original URL is: http://nfs-0938.unl.edu/flexviewers/nefiredanger/

Joe-

I would try removing the :6080 from your service's url in the config.xml file. I can not reach your rest endpoint with it in the url, but have no problems just using: http://nfs-0938.unl.edu/arcgis/rest/services/NEFireDanger/MapServer

Joe,

You need to talk to your IT people as http://nfs-0938.unl.edu:6080/arcgis/rest/services does not seem to be a valid URL outside of your network. Normally you would have a fully qualified URL. That looks like a machine name that is not registered on a DNS server.

I did give it a try with no success. Still receiving the same error code.

Could you attach your config.xml file. I have no troubles using your service in flexviewer, it acts as expected.

When I try and attach the file here it says invalid file. Do you have an email address that I could send it to?

Joe-

You are right, they attachment would have to be a .txt. You should be able to right click your config.xml file, choose open with, and then choose notepad or some other text editor; then just save as a .txt file. The attachment will work fine after that. Before doing that, did you make sure to clear your browsers cache (completely) after making the change to your config file?

I did have them clear their cache and that seemed to solve the problem. Thank you for your help!
