Publishing standalone tables

What is the best way to share standalone tables? I have tried a GP service and have been unsuccessful. Any thoughts.

Annie,

You should be able to put the table in a mxd and publish it as a map service, the table will be accessible through the REST Endpoint. See the supported functionality:

Hi Anthony,
the tables are standalone, non-spatial and have no relationship with any featureclass. The share as option in my mxd greys out. I do not know if there is any other way to create a service with just the tables.

OK, I did get the service generated, but now I do not know how to get the table data from the REST end point.
