I downloaded the esearch files and followed the instructions in the readme file for installing the compiled version in my viewer application folder. When I open the application, I can see the widget, but when I click on it and try to edit, I get this message: Could not find eSearch module for enhanced search widget. I also was a little confused about the instructions of modifying the draw.xml and am unsure I did that correctly, in terms of what I was supposed to paste into it and where.
